Paper ballots in NY county unable to be accepted by voting machines, will still be counted

Voting machines in Westchester County, New York (the state's seventh most populous county) failed to accept paper ballots on Election Day due to ballots being too thick for the scanners to read. Election officials assured voters that all ballots would still be counted manually using emergency ballot bags, and urged voters to remain in line and cast their votes despite the delays.
